Meet the 10 Finalists of the ServiceNow 2021 Digital Workforce Challenge

MIT Solve and ServiceNow are thrilled to announce the 10 finalists of the ServiceNow 2021 Digital Workforce Challenge. Through this Challenge, ServiceNow seeks tech-enabled solutions that leverage technology and strengthen digital capacity-building to meet the needs of the current and future digital workforce. These innovative finalist teams responded to the Challenge question "How can historically underserved communities prepare for, access, and prosper in the digital workforce?"

From using color gradients to enable easier digital reading to helping HR departments uncover the influence of human bias, the finalist solutions leverage technology and strengthen digital capacity-building to meet the needs of the current and future digital workforce.

Empower Work: A critical life line for workers amidst COVID-19.

Fable: An accessibility platform powered by people with disabilities.

KOSA AI - Future Proofing AI: Building AI governance software that detects and mitigates AI bias through the ML lifecycle.

Puffin Innovations: Human-computer interfacing meets AI and IoT to help people with disabilities climb the employment mountain.

Resilient Coders: Training and placing POC from low-income communities for high growth careers as software engineers.

SheWorks! Academy Train the Trainers: Bridging the economic gender gap by equipping women with digital skills to compete in the job market.

SIID™ Technologies: Harnessing the intuitive power of machine learning to mitigate systemic and institutional bias.

The Knowledge House: Expanding career opportunities for historically underserved communities of color through the Bronx Digital Pipeline and digitalpipeline.io.

The Last Mile: Providing opportunities for personal and professional growth for justice-involved individuals through education and technology training.

Finalists are invited to present their solutions to distinguished judges on November 8. Challenge winners of the Grand Prize, US Racial Equity Prize, and ServiceNow Employee Choice Award will have access to the US$160,000 prize pool made possible by ServiceNow. Challenge winners will be announced on November 16.
