Arvind Gupta is a technology entrepreneur, innovation evangelist, and currently the CEO of MyGov, an initiative of Prime Minister of India to empower citizens with participatory governance and digitally communicate plans and policies to all Indians.

Arvind has more than 25 years working in diverse sectors in a variety of leadership, policy and entrepreneurial roles in India and Silicon Valley. He has considerable experience in consumer internet, digital media, big data & analytics, digital transformation, IT policy, and e-governance.

Arvind is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Digital Economy & Society Futures Council, the OECD’s Production, Transformation & Development Committee, and was awarded the 2014 Eisenhower Global Fellowship for Innovation. His articles have been published in Economic Times, LiveMint, IndianExpress and HBR.org amongst others.

Arvind is co-founder of Digital India Foundation, a policy think tank working in areas of digital inclusion, internet governance, cyber security, electronics manufacturing, and Indian software products. He is the founding member of the Indian Software Products Industry Round Table (iSPiRT) and an active member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) and NASSCOM, India’s premier IT trade association. He has co-founded several startups and is presently a member of the Venture investment committee at SIDBI - FFS, Member of the board at Larsen & Toubro, State Trading Corporation and Urban Improvement Company.

Mr. Gupta graduated with a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, where he was recognised as the Alumnus of the Century in Making at the centenary event of the Institute. He has a Masters in Computer Science and MBA from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
