Christopher Bowling is a public safety consultant and a retired police commander (rank of Commander) with a large city agency. His experiences include patrol (operations), investigations, training, staff inspections (quality control/quality assurance/quality improvement), logistics and material/equipment control, and operations management of a large 911 Emergency Communications Center. He also started a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) within his agency (using the Memphis Model of CIT) and was its coordinator along with being the county CIT law enforcement CIT coordinator for 11 years. Chris has a B.S. in Public Safety Management, an M.S. Ed specializing in Training and Performance Improvement, and he is ABD for a doctorate in Instructional Design Leadership. He is a graduate of several police management and leadership "schools." As a part-time consultant in a two-person self-owned LLC, Chris is currently involved with the expansion and support of CIT programs and affiliated services across his home state. He maintains memberships in many organizations, with most related to training, performance improvement, law enforcement planning, and evidence-based policing.
