Julie is an accomplished educator with a passion for language and technology. She began her career as a high school foreign language teacher, imparting linguistic skills and cultural knowledge to eager students. Armed with two master’s degrees—one in Curriculum and Instruction and another in Instructional Technologies—she honed her expertise in designing effective learning and assessment experiences.

For over two decades, Julie contributed significantly to educational publishing. Working at McGraw Hill, Pearson, and HMH on assessment design, instructional design, and strategic planning, she shaped the landscape of educational materials. Her journey took an exciting turn when she transitioned into edtech. At the helm of creating a cutting-edge middle school computer science curriculum, Julie continued to inspire the next generation of learners.

In her current role as the Head of Efficacy and Learning Research at LEGO Education, Julie leads groundbreaking initiatives, exploring the impact of educational products, ensuring they align with learning outcomes and empower students. Her work bridges the gap between theory and practice, driving evidence-based decisions that enhance educational experiences worldwide
