As Climate Lead, Katie oversees a portfolio of challenges and programs each year, all focused on linking a global community of climate entrepreneurs with a network of philanthropists, foundations, experts, and venture funds. 

Before joining MIT Solve, Katie was Manager of Marine Systems at The University of Arizona’s Biosphere 2 where she oversaw the Biosphere 2 Ocean Reef research laboratory managing a team of researchers, engaging domestic and international partners as well as creating engaging scientific content for media partners and over 100,000 annual visitors. Katie remains engaged at Biosphere 2 as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board. Katie holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
