I am Maggie, serving as the COO at Access Afya. I am Kenyan born, trained at the University of Ottawa in Kansas and worked with St Luke’s Health System for five years before returning home to make an impact. My first job was in customer care at a US hotel, and my experience serving clients continues to shape my delivery and commitment to excellence in customer service. While at St Luke’s, I joined the Healthcare Financial Management Association and worked with Deloitte Consulting on addressing a USD 12 million revenue gap due to low productivity, and designed new databases and workflows to plug the gaps. I am delighted to get the opportunity to work at Access Afya. I am responsible for executing the Access Afya strategy, and directly oversee Talent and Expansion initiatives, while also overseeing finance and legal.
