Mariana Luz
CEO, Maria Cecilia Souto Vidigal Foundation
Mariana is the CEO of Maria Cecilia Souto Vidigal Foundation. She has more than 15 years of professional experience working in social development, governmental affairs, sustainability, corporate communication, trade policy and development of public policies. In 2015, she was appointed by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader. In the past decade, Mariana has advised on the board of directors in Brazil, the US and Europe, and currently acts on the board of Junior Achievement São Paulo, United Way Brazil and the Center of Excellence and Innovation in Politics from Fundação Getulio Vargas. She also chairs the Board of Directors of Instituto Escolhas. She began her career at the Brazilian Center for International Relations, where she acted as the Institutional Director between 2003 and 2011. Subsequently, she was the Head of Government Affairs, Sustainability and CSR at Embraer, the Superintendent Director at Embraer Institute in Brazil, as well as the President of Embraer Foundation in the US. She holds a degree in International Relations from Estácio de Sá University, an MBA in International Diplomacy and a Masters of Art in History from the Rio de Janeiro State University and special certificates from Oxford University and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
