Mimu Nanwani has been passionate about early childhood education for over two decades. Starting out as a teacher, she moved to a management role where she introduced play-based pedagogy to a network of early childhood centers in Indonesia. Currently, she is the Program Director for Indonesia at Ishk Tolaram Foundation, a philanthropic organization that develops and supports programs that provide access to quality education, healthcare, and skills training for underserved individuals. In this role, she leads on Ishk's work in building capacity in the early childhood education sector and is a strong advocate for affordable, accessible child-centered education systems. Outside of this, she loves to spend time in nature, do yoga and read.
