Phyllis Heydt
Vice President, Office of the U.N. Special Envoy for Health and the Global Health Alliance
Phyllis Heydt is a Vice-President at the Office of the U.N. Special Envoy for Health, and the Global Health Alliance. She focuses on frontline health delivery systems. As part of her current role she co-founded the Aspen Management Partnership for Health and co-chairs its Advisory Board, and co-founded the Financing Alliance for Health. Phyllis previously worked in the Strategy Team at the Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria, and as an Engagement Manager in McKinsey’s healthcare practice in Germany and London.
Phyllis is passionate not only about health care delivery and performance overall, but also has a particular interest in health access issues and assistive technologies for people with disabilities. She co-founded and is a board member of Discovering Hands, an award-winning international social healthcare enterprise based in Germany. (www.discovering-hands.de). Phyllis holds a Masters of Economics and Business from the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland, and a Masters in International Health Policy and Health Economics from the London School of Economics.
