Rebecca Novak is Code Nation's Executive Director in the Bay Area. Since joining as a founding team member in 2013, Rebecca has led Code Nation to develop a robust pipeline of services for students, including web development classes taught at high schools by software engineers, rigorous paid summer internships, advanced courses, and a growing alumni program. Code Nation currently deploys its high-impact model to more than 1,200 students annually in 52 high schools across three cities. Prior to her work with Code Nation, Rebecca taught special education in the San Francisco Unified School District for three years. She designed the first full-inclusion program for students with disabilities in the district, earning the Quality Teacher and Education Act Innovation Award. She is a Teach For America Alumna, with a M.A. in Education from Alliant International University, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in English from Tufts University.
