Ruben Kalra, MD, MBA, is the co-founder and CEO of WellBrain, a mission driven company addressing the opiate epidemic by providing a proprietary, scalable digital health platform that decreases human suffering and optimizes patient function. A Harvard trained medical doctor with double board certifications in anesthesiology and pain medicine, Dr. Kalra is a physician and entrepreneur passionate about combining mindful meditation practices and biofeedback technology to customize a better patient experience.

Dr. Kalra also is a partner and current president at Pain Management Consultants, a practice in the San Francisco Bay Area with top trained physicians who take a comprehensive approach towards addressing pain in patients. Holding extensive experience in pain medicine, Dr. Kalra formerly was the Chairman of the Cross-Campus Pain Management Team for the John Muir Walnut Creek & Concord Hospitals from 2010 to 2015. He has served as the director for the preeminent functional restoration program in San Francisco as well as a board member for the California Society of Interventional Pain Physicians since 2010.

An expert in innovative pain management treatment options, Dr. Kalra has been invited to speak at numerous conferences and hospitals including those at UCSF, UC Davis, Columbia, and Harvard.
