Film your elevator pitch.

What specific problem are you solving?

Teachers from all over the world are struggling to teach online with old-school teaching methods. In fact, according to Unesco, 81% of teachers feel unprepared to teach online. This added to the fact that 6 out of 10 teachers are feeling overworked and underappreciated (National Union of Teachers) and, on top of that, they have a wage penalty of USD 7,500 (The Global Teacher's Status Index), we can affirm that the school system is living a pandemic on its own which is negatively impacting the quality of education.

What is your solution?

T-share is a revolutionary online platform that combines training with social media interactions to support teachers to:

  • Uplevel their classes.
  • Reduce their workload.
  • Increase their job satisfaction.

We achieve this with our:

Community: an open collaboration platform where teachers can share and filter activities by course, subject, 21st-century skill, and additional-curricular information. Also, they can follow their favorite teachers, comment on the activities and even edit them to promote continuous improvement.

Academy: a marketplace of online courses created by universities, and other educational organizations to promote lifelong learning skills in teachers, who later share their new knowledge with the community.

Also, we give 10% of our profits to the teachers who create more value in the community, recognizing and incentivizing them to share their content in the community.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?

Our solution serves directly to k-12 school teachers. The main factor why teachers don't innovate more in their classrooms is because they are feeling overworked which translates into having no time to create new material, and also because they are unmotivated to do classes differently since they don't have other professionals references of success. We understood this by interviewing and being in the classroom with more than a hundred teachers who helped us getting into this stage of T-share. Our solution addresses these issues by decreasing their workload with ready-to-use lessons provided by other teachers with proven results and increasing their motivation thanks to our incentive system, which allows them to uplevel their classes and co-create meaningful learning experiences.
