What specific problem are you solving?

KidzRise solves the problem of children's lack of engagement and high dropout rates by focusing on their strengths and talents, keeping them motivated and inspired, and preventing them from dropping out or becoming bored in school, unlike standardized educational approaches that often focusing on weaknesses which lead to social isolation, reduced self-esteem,boredom and disinterest. 

KidzRise is applying to solve the challenge of making learning more inclusive and equitable while improving outcomes for all learners : through an online platform that detects children talents & strengths with AI , and digital learning programs to turn the detected talents into valuable skills needed to thrive in their communities and have a great impact on the whole world

The problem is massive with +250 million children worldwide out of school,(according to data from UNESCO and UNICEF). Many kids struggle with poor grades, retention problems, disinterest, and boredom at school. These challenges often lead to dropout, limiting their chances for the future and feeding the cycles of poverty and marginalization.

Millions of kids worldwide are affected by this problem , KidzRise wants to empower as many of these kids as it can to stay in school and reach their full potential by highlighting their abilities and strengths.

The factors contributing to the problem related to KidzRise's solution are the student disengagement and high dropout rates with around 250 million children are out of school, highlighting the scale of the problem.

The main factor is the disengagement rate due to the uniformity of school programs that focus on children flaws. Based on research,71% of students drop out of high school leaving them misguided and misdirected in their lives.

Another significant factor that can increase the drop out rate and demotivation is the failure to recognize and identify their strengths and talents,along with the rote learning and monotonous teaching methods that often contribute to student boredom and disengagement.

By providing engaging quizzes and programs that detect chidlren' skills and qualities, we contribute to rasing students awareness about the importance of learning,while making it enjoyable and accessible,enhancing the performance and engagement of every child.

What is your solution?

KidzRise provides an innovative solution based on AI to detect and develop the unique talents of children ,aged 5 to 17, once they sign-up , we start by an interactive AI quiz that helps identify each child's talents and strength, and based on the quizzes results, we provide skills building programs and interactive experiences to develop the detected talents, focusing on strengths rather than flaws. 

To reward their success in our programs , children receive badges and certificates , we also want to provide a special feature that allows children to share their achievements with friends on KidzRise platform, this will increase motivation and inspiration among the kids, and parents can also track their development and receive instant feedback, which is very important as it helps them be more actively involved in their children's growth.

KidzRise aims to keep children engaged, motivated to avoid dropping out or getting bored in school by focusing on their talents & strengths.
This new approach aligns with the challenge since it provides the skills that people need to thrive in both their community and a complex world while using new technologies such as AI.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?

• KidzRise serves as a ray of hope for children globally, especially those with amazing talents and gifts that are often overlooked and unrecognized in the traditional educational approaches that focus on flaws putting these exceptional young minds at a higher risk of dropping out of school because of boredom and unchallenging programs.Our innovative solution using AI helps identify and cultivate their unique strengths and talents. We motivate and engage these kids in their learning process by reorienting the focus from their shortcomings to their strengths.

This method instills in them a renewed sense of confidence and self-esteem,but also improves their academic performance.

• The target population for KidzRise is children aged 5 to 17 having diverse unexplored talents,particularly those who feel disengaged at school,regardless of the learning difficulties they may have or the challenges they face . These children are often underserved by standardized educational approaches that focus more on weaknesses than strengths, leading to feelings of boredom, disconnection, and disengagement.

• They are children with diverse talents and abilities who get annoyed , feel unchallenged, or disconnected at the school. These children are underserved because current educational approaches often overlook their unique strengths, focusing more on flaws, and this leads to disengagement, lack of motivation, and even dropping out of school. As a result of feeling as though their abilities are underappreciated, they become disillusioned with the educational system and lose confidence.
• KidzRise is the solution that meets their needs by using AI to recommend and offer skills-building programs that are based on the special abilities and strengths detected of each child. We keep children engaged and happy , decreasing boredom and boosting retention by focusing on their strengths over their weaknesses. Children are encouraged to discover their interests, develop their skills, and increase their self-confidence in their abilities through interactive challenges and activities,enabling them to succeed in both school and life.

How are you and your team well-positioned to deliver this solution?

Our team at KidzRise is well positioned to deliver our solution because we are not just observers but active participants in the communities we serve.
Wiem Ben Mahmoud, the co-founder, can approach problem-solving from multiple perspectives. We come from Tunisia, North Africa, and have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities of the African and middle-eastern communities, Nouha our AI manager, Nader our web developer and Haythem our UX/UI Designer are working passionately and delivering solutions based on the target's preferences.

In order to ensure that our solution is not just imposed from the top down but rather co-created with the community, we actively engage with parents, educators, and children themselves to gather insights and feedback, following this approach guarantees that our solution is applicable, efficient, and serves the needs of every child that we are trying to help.

Our solution is designed and implemented with community feedback and ideas because we regularly hold surveys to get input straight from the community.
This feedback allows us to improve and tailor our solution to better meet the needs and expectations of our users.We make sure that our solution is long-lasting, relevant, and impactful by putting community input at the heart of our design process.

KidzRise has successfully launched testing phase in multiple communities, and we have been actively testing and iterating our platform based on user feedback, which is why we chose the Pilot stage for it. We have developed and tested our AI detection system thus far, and it successfully recognizes the special skills and abilities of kids. Based on the talents that have been identified in the kids, we are working on implementing personalized skills-building programs for them. Furthermore, we have developed an engaging and interactive platform that lets kids discover and nurture their talents in an enjoyable and inspiring way. Users have given our platform positive feedback regarding its impact on their children's learning and development, indicating that it has been well-received.

Internationally, Our participation in Web Summit Qatar, where we were  selected for the showcase-pitch under the theme "The Future of Education", was a success with a pitch that captivated the representatives of the Ministry of Education & the ministry of finance in Qatar ,international investors and potential partners.

Furthermore, my intervention as a Woman Entrepreneur in the career forum at the "Collège/Lycée Français International" in Sousse, where I was invited to talk about KidzRise and inspire young talents to explore entrepreneurship, has sparked a significant interest from the directors in our services for French middle schools in Tunisia and they have also suggested offers to expand our services to middle schools in France.

And happy to say that KidzRise is selected to participate in London Tech Week as an innovative EdTech Start-up.

We are applying to Solve because we want to make a positive impact in every child's journey , we believe in Solve's mission to support innovative solutions that address global challenges specially to improve quality education and build skills of kids. Solve's focus on connecting Solver teams with partners who can provide both monetary and non-monetary support aligns with our goals of expanding KidzRise's impact and reaching more children globally.

One of the key barriers we face is the need to expand to new markets , Solve's network of partners can provide valuable insights and guidance to help us enhance our platform and strengthen our impact.
