Film your elevator pitch.

What specific problem are you solving?

PFWCES (People For a World without Extreme Poverty, Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability) is addressing several interconnected problems through their hybrid sustainable 4Ever Homes with integrated agriculture system and their programs of a no food waste program and skills and development for in-community employment.

Firstly, the housing crisis is a major issue in many parts of the world, particularly in developing countries. PFWCES is addressing this problem by building sustainable 4Ever Homes that are designed to be affordable, eco-friendly, and equipped with an integrated agriculture system. These homes are designed to be self-sustaining and provide food for residents, which can help reduce the cost of living and alleviate poverty.

Secondly, PFWCES is addressing the problem of food waste by implementing a no food waste program. This program aims to reduce the amount of food waste generated in households, restaurants, and other food establishments. The program provides education and training to individuals and communities on how to reduce food waste through meal planning, proper storage, and composting. This can help reduce the environmental impact of food waste and provide food for those in need.

Finally, PFWCES is addressing the problem of unemployment in communities by providing skills and development programs. These programs are designed to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge they need to start their own businesses, find employment, or become self-sufficient through agriculture. This can help reduce poverty and promote sustainable economic development in communities.

What is your solution?

The Power From Within Clean Energy Society's proposal for developing hybrid sustainable homes with integrated agriculture systems that save families a minimum of $6,000 yearly is an innovative and promising initiative. The proposal integrates several sustainable technologies that promote energy efficiency, waste reduction, and food security while generating financial savings for families.

Hybrid sustainable homes would use a combination of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal energy to power the houses, reduce energy consumption, and decrease dependence on fossil fuels. The houses would also incorporate energy-efficient appliances and building materials to minimize energy use and reduce carbon emissions.

Moreover, the integrated agriculture systems would promote sustainable food production and food security. Families would be able to grow their vegetables and fruits, reducing their reliance on imported foods and supporting the local economy. The agriculture systems would also reduce food waste and decrease the carbon footprint of food transportation and storage.

In addition to the environmental and social benefits, the proposal offers significant financial savings to families. The integrated agriculture systems would provide families with fresh, nutritious produce at a lower cost than purchasing from supermarkets. Moreover, renewable energy sources and energy-efficient technologies with agriculture would reduce energy bills and grocery costs, saving families a minimum of $5,000 annually.

Overall, the Power From Within Clean Energy Society's proposal offers a compelling and holistic solution to sustainable development. The proposal integrates sustainable technologies that promote energy efficiency, waste reduction, and food security while generating significant financial savings for families. The initiative has the potential to serve as a model for future sustainable housing developments and contribute to the global effort to mitigate climate change.

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?

The homes will be built with environmentally friendly materials and designed to reduce energy consumption. Solar panels and rainwater harvesting systems will be installed to promote renewable energy use and water conservation. Each home will also have an integrated agriculture system, which will include a small garden and vertical farming, allowing residents to grow their own food and reduce their carbon footprint.

The location of the project will be carefully selected to ensure optimal growing conditions for the agriculture system. The project will also include a communal area for residents to share resources and participate in community gardening.

The construction of the homes will create job opportunities for local workers and stimulate the local economy. Once completed, the homes will provide affordable and sustainable housing options for families and individuals.

In conclusion, this project will promote sustainable living, self-sufficiency, and community building. It will serve as a model for future sustainable housing projects, providing a roadmap for developers and policymakers looking to create more sustainable communities.

How are you and your team well-positioned to deliver this solution?

PFWCES is the right choice because we take pride in our designs, we have listen to various people and family members to help draft up our design in our 4Ever Homes.  By outsourcing and collaborating with other companies and organizations, we are able to bring our vision to life with the right professionals and expert to complete each task at hand.

Until we are able to get our organization running by students of all levels guided by experience mentors, we are slowly building our core to be a lasting long organization to serve it's purpose, so in the mean time we outsource to our committed relationships.

We have been taking our time to design a starting point to a new error in living and how we live, with a diverse team of a band of countries who are likeminded with the same goal at hand... A time for change!

Being an Indigenous father, I was blessed with a vision to help with not only my children, but for all children and their families.  A vision of social communities and how we thrive together, agriculture and harvesting breaks away the gaps and bring those together to share stories while gathering high nutrition produce.

We know we can't build a perfect home, just the best homes and communities for our comfort and needs.  We tailor design our concepts to your needs, so you can sleep at night.

Which dimension of the Challenge does your solution most closely address?

Other

In what city, town, or region is your solution team headquartered?

Toronto, Ontario

In what country is your solution team headquartered?

  • Canada

What is your solution’s stage of development?

Prototype: A venture or organization building and testing its product, service, or business model, but which is not yet serving anyone

Please share details about what makes your solution a Prototype rather than a Concept.

The reason PFWCES would like to move forward from saying we are in Prototype mode rather than Concept mode, is because the technology that we are brining forward is already exists and in use, but separately.

What we did was take working technology that complements our lives and applied it to our everyday living.  We took what is out there and merged it to make more sense on how we use it and how it can apply it to benefit our families.

We understood the four main fact that people in society are needing and we found a way to put it all together in our 4Ever Homes.  By using Modular homes, we can get the price cost effective as well as save time on development, design better quality and stronger homes that last.

Using a hybrid clean energy resource like solar pv, wind and water turbines and geo thermal for energy needs.  We can take care of all needs to home owner and communities by storing the energy for when needed.  We will also use collective rain harvesting water for portal or work use.

Our agriculture systems allows you to farm all year round and have 3-4 yields instead of one in a controlled atmosphere that gives high nutrition value from Seed2Table.  This arrangements allows us to incorporate a no food waste program as an option, along with other empowering tools and skills that can be applied to the communities to help make it thrive.

How many people does your solution currently serve?

None at this time, we are working on our first 57 acre development in Hawkesbury Ontario for about 50 homes and 60 rental unit low rise building all sustainable, that we are making plans for and preparing for.

We are going through the stages of zoning and contacting the township for their advices and respects to what we are proposing for development.

Why are you applying to Solve?

Our biggest struggle is finance and next would be social media and community awareness, that could be stronger.  Our goal is to share knowledge to how we could be living differently and working with those to make it happen and address the real problems at hand.

We just dove in to solve the problem and thought that thing will fall into place once we start action and not just waiting for things to happen.  This is why outsourcing and building relationships became important to our growth.

Our goal is to design cost effective homes with clean energy resources with agriculture, hoping to reduce some of the stress in society.  Affordable rental units, we have a three year program idea to get them into home ownership.

PFWCES are problem solvers who think outside the box for immediate solution we can take action on, while educating and helping others.  Hopefully in time we will be able to donate single family home to those of need

We are very diverse team from all walks of life and working towards the same goals, we are about eight countries and growing, leading by example to break away the stigmas and working together for a difference and change

Describe the core technology that powers your solution.

Power From Within Clean Energy Society (PFWCES) is focused on promoting sustainable energy solutions to combat climate change and reduce carbon emissions. PFWCES's core technology is centered around renewable energy sources, specifically solar and wind energy.

PFWCES uses photovoltaic (PV) solar panels to harness energy from the sun and convert it into electricity. The solar panels are typically installed on rooftops or in open fields, and the electricity generated can be used to power homes, businesses, and other infrastructure.

In addition to solar energy, PFWCES also uses wind turbines to generate electricity. Wind turbines use the power of the wind to spin the blades of the turbine, which in turn generates electricity. Wind turbines can be installed on land or offshore, and can produce large amounts of electricity that can be fed into the grid.

PFWCES also employs energy storage technology, which allows energy generated from renewable sources to be stored for later use. This technology is important because solar and wind energy can be intermittent, depending on weather patterns and time of day. By storing excess energy during times of high production, PFWCES can use it during times of low production, ensuring a consistent supply of energy.

Overall, PFWCES's core technology is centered around renewable energy sources, specifically solar and wind energy, and energy storage technology. By harnessing the power of these sustainable sources of energy, PFWCES aims to reduce carbon emissions and combat climate change while providing clean, reliable, and affordable energy to communities.
