Underrepresented groups save, plan, and invest less.  They need expert advice to build financial safety nets.  

The market is not interested in serving them. It hasn’t solved for a cost effective, personalized way of doing so.

Blacks, Hispanics, women, first generation are overlooked; Millennials too.

What is your solution?

WealthMore is the human-centric, tech-enabled financial health platform and community with an AI advantage. 

WealthMore offers: advice on demand, cash flow management, debt management, home buying, insurance/protection, college planning, estate and more.  Communities are a unique core element of our functionality. Groups allow for specific topics, activities/challenges, & live chats led by our experts.

WealthMore AI is also a scoring platform with commercial application similar to that of credit scores, e.g. FICO.  Our scoring model tracks our users financial resiliency and delivers personalized insights and tips to help them increase their financial resiliency.


Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?

We address the systemic issues that have prevented underrepresented communities from attaining wealth and financial security.  They have been denied the products (fair loans, mortgages, appraisals, credit, insurance, investments) and advice to do better.  

We provide a safe place and community to tackle these issues head on.   

We understand our users come from a place of needing more support from people they can trust.  

We prevent backsliding by helping users build social safety nets.  They are better prepared when tough times come.

We help disconnected workers. We address the void in workplace financial tools  (e.g. 401K plans) created by the "gig" economy.

How are you and your team well-positioned to deliver this solution?

Founding WealthMore is also deeply personal.  My  grandmother was left out of the opportunity to grow wealth.  As a black, female, Haitian immigrant, and non english speaking widower, she never made any banker's lead list.  She was a super saver who saved a lot of money that languished in low interest bearing savings and CD accounts.  Her money never got the attention it deserved which would have allowed her a better financial future and the opportunity to transfer generation wealth. 

After a successful 20+ years in financial services, most recently as a Managing Director at JP Morgan Chase, I left to launch WealthMore.  In my decade at JPMC, I was a General Manager (GM), changemaker, intrapreneur and culture carrier. I led a $22 Billion credit card portfolio.  I built My Chase Plan, a BuyNowPayLater product when that market was nascent. In addition, I also worked on and launched products you'll recognize: GM for Slate, Chase's small business card, Sapphire, AmEx's co-brand cards, and started her career at Nestle & Accenture.

Research Study: Conducted qualitative and quantitative research of the solution with ~350 responders.  92% want expert financial advice.  94% found our solution interesting to very interesting.  99% were willing to pay $25 to $100 per month.  The most desired features are advice on demand and advisor led portfolios with real time updates.

What makes your solution innovative?

WealthMore is a digital first (mobile app and web) solution where users save/plan/invest and achieve financial resiliency.  There financial goals and investments are actively monitored, relevant content is pushed to provide investment and financial planning insights/updates, on demand access to advisors is available, and community groups drive engagement/personalization.

Our distinct features include,

      • Advisor led portfolios, actively managed and connected by software to share timely updates and expert insights via a cutting edge real time dashboard
      • Advice on demand, user live chat, direct message their expert advisors whenever they need to 
      • Real time alerts/ updates on investment and financial planning best practices allow users to grow and retain more wealth 
      • Community feature automatically groups users by there investments/needs to engage via activities and challenges, and facilitate chats led by advisors
      • Curated video content makes it easy to engage communities and share relevant, timely information at scale

We use the best of behavioral economics to drive change that will have large scale impact: Communities for support, activities/challenges to habituate good behaviors, and accountability with the scorecard.  

We create multi generational change.  Our society moves forward, when people can afford to educate their children, earn higher degrees, start businesses, and invest in their communities.  

We are a force multiplier.  We can reach millions of people who do not have access to the fundamentals of building wealth.  When they do well, their children, and those around them do better.  They reinvest in their neighborhoods, schools, churches, and charities.

We are very diverse leadership and advisory team.  We also boast an equally diverse group of angel investors.  We don't just talk DEI.  We live DEI.  Our CEO is a black women.  Our lead engineers are Middle Eastern and Hispanic.  Our team is 80% diverse.  Our investors are 90% diverse.

Your Business Model & Funding

What is your business model?

WealthMore does good while doing well.  WealthMore is a large scalable opportunity with a lean operating model.    

Subscription & Investment Fees: Users invest in our 6 managed portfolios and receive real time insights/updates into their investments. WealthMore is a registered investment advisory (RIA) and revenue is generated from subscriptions and investment fees. 

Lean operating model: The experience is powered by 6-8 certified financial planners/ investment advisors (employed by WealthMore) who deliver advice at scale and allow for a low cost operating model.

What is your plan for becoming financially sustainable?

We are currently raising $1.5M with $1M left to raise.  The funding will be used to acquire our first 7000 paid users and scale the company profitably.
