Not-for-profit or Community-Based organizationsWhy are you applying to the Future of Work in India and Indonesia Challenge?
Internship For Good program has been running for approximately four months, we have received 195 applicants, and only 3% of applicants were eligible to deploy. It didn't mean they were incompetent, but so many candidate workers didn't match the needs of the job position desired by the industry. Other than that, the lack of access to job information made their potential and skills less able to be channeled. Starting from this problem, we thought about becoming a community and facilitating them to get the right experience according to their potential. Even though some candidate workers do not yet have sufficient skills to work, we are here to help them improve their bottom-line skills such as digital literacy and more. We are trying to improve the ratio and develop our program. We hope that with the help of MIT, we can reach more prospective workers and have a wider movement in developing this program so that more human resources are able to compete with automation changes in the future.
