AI-supported virtual hospital designed to unite and connect all stakeholders across the global medical community.

What specific problem are you solving?

At Cumulus, we are working to unite the global rare disease community and all stakeholders through the creation of a virtual hospital that seeks to provide education and access to faster, more accurate diagnoses and precision treatments.

What is your solution?

Cumulus is a virtual medical campus designed to expedite the diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases through collaborative centers designed to meet the specific needs of different stakeholder groups.

Cumulus Campus Overview

Who does your solution serve, and in what ways will the solution impact their lives?

Rare disease patients are an underserved population as a whole. From access to knowledgeable doctors and disease education to diagnostic testing and treatments, rare patients struggle to create care plans.

Cumulus seeks to remedy these issues by providing all stakeholders access to our virtual community and the many tools offered on our campus.

How are you and your team well-positioned to deliver this solution?

We are rare disease parents and caregivers since 1993. We understand the burden a rare disease diagnosis can place on a family and the agony of living without a diagnosis.

We seek to help other families avoid the situation we have lived through.

Which dimension of the Challenge does your solution most closely address?

  • Optimize holistic care for people with rare diseases—including physical, mental, social, and legal support
  • Mitigate barriers to accessing medical care after diagnosis which disproportionately affect disinvested communities and historically underrepresented identity groups
  • Enhance coordination of care and strengthen data sharing between health care professionals, specialty services, and patients
  • Empower patients with quality information about their conditions to fight stigma associated with rare diseases
  • Promote community and connection among rare disease patients and their advocates
