Project Summary:
Biotechnology project focused on using insect protein to feed farm animals in Brazil aiming to reduce deforestation with soy crops used for animal feed. We are certain that we are generating a profitable solution for meat producers, which directly reduces their demand for soybean and fishmeal, thus decarbonizing the meat industry and curbing deforestation of the Amazon rainforest. This is a rare win-win scenario where you can truly have a circular economy since insects that consume human and industrial organic waste are used as a source of feed, and further produce a significant amount of biofertilizers that can also be used by farmers.
