Ken Meyer
Former Online Engagement Manager, MIT Solve
Ken Meyer was the Online Engagement Manager for MIT's Solve initiative, where he worked to build communities online, on social media, and on Solve's open innovation platform to CrowdSolve global challenges.
Before moving to Cambridge, Ken served as Vice President Biden’s Director of Digital Strategy at the end of the Administration helping to run digital and social media communications. He had first come to the Obama Administration on staff in 2014 and worked for two years on the Engagement Team in the White House Office of Digital Strategy. He helped manage social media for the White House and First Lady Michelle Obama, trained staff on joining social media, and built out a community program for Q&A with senior Administration officials online.
Ken holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Politics from the University of Cambridge in the U.K. and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Wake Forest University in North Carolina. A New Jersey native, Ken likes to plan where he can go backpacking next when he’s not thinking in 140 characters.
